"MicCarry Microphone" doesn't appear on my Mac
Open the Mac companion and follow its status panel — it names the exact problem and the fix. If it offers "Repair registration", click it, then reopen your app's microphone picker. If it still doesn't appear, email us with what the status panel says.
How does the 30-day free trial work?
The trial lasts 30 days and starts with your first USB session — not when you install the app. So you can install today, set up next month, and still get a full trial. After it ends, a one-time $14.99 purchase unlocks MicCarry for good. No subscription.
I bought Lifetime and got a new iPhone — do I pay again?
No. Open MicCarry on the new phone and go to Settings → Access → Restore Purchase. Your lifetime unlock is tied to your Apple Account through the App Store.
What do I need to run MicCarry?
An iPhone with USB-C, an Apple Silicon Mac, and a USB-C data cable (the one that came with your phone works). The Mac companion is a free download from the download page.
Is my audio uploaded or recorded?
No. Normal sessions are not recorded, and there is no MicCarry account or cloud audio. Your voice travels over the cable from your iPhone to your Mac and is gone. Details in the privacy policy.
How do I update the Mac app?
You don't have to — it keeps itself up to date. You can also re-download the latest installer from the download page at any time.
What's the difference between Auto and Whisper mode?
Auto "balances quiet speech with room-noise control" — the right default for meetings and dictation. Whisper "prioritizes very quiet speech; more room sound may be audible" — for late nights and shared spaces.
The app says "Microphone paused" — what happened?
Another audio session on your iPhone (a call, a recording) took the microphone. End it and MicCarry resumes your session. The state on screen always tells you which side is waiting.
